Join our listening session to share ideas about and experiences with recruiting and retaining a skilled workforce through registered apprenticeship, and expansion of diversity and inclusion in the construction industry.

Apprenticeship Roundtable: Women in Apprenticeship -- 2:30 to 4 p.m., Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Training Center, 5420 International Parkway, New Hope, MN 55428
This roundtable event will feature women apprentices, apprenticeship instructors and journeyworker mentors in the trades who will share their successful recruiting and retention strategies to increase the number of women seeking a construction career.

DLI apprenticeship staff will visit Austin Public Utilities’ registered apprenticeship program in Austin, Minnesota, to discuss the program and tour the facility.

DLI apprenticeship staff will travel to Jackson, Minnesota, to visit with AGCO to discuss workforce development opportunities through apprenticeship.

Anoka Workforce Center Employer Panel -- 9 a.m. to noon, 201 89th Ave. NE, Blaine, MN
The event includes an employer panel to discuss how apprenticeship has impacted their businesses. You'll also hear from apprentices from each company represented on the pane. A hiring event featuring 28 employers will take place immediately after the employer panel.

Apprenticeship Minnesota visits Duluth-area apprenticeships
DLI apprenticeship staff will tour construction apprenticeship programs in Duluth including the Duluth Pipefitters/Plumbers Apprenticeship Training Center and Duluth Carpenters Apprenticeship Training Center.

Apprenticeship Minnesota visits Uponor to celebrate its newly registered apprenticeship program
Apprenticeship Minnesota will visit Uponor, Inc. to celebrate the signing of its newly registered maintenance mechanic apprenticeship program.

Open House: Buhler Apprenticeship Program -- 5 p.m., 13105 12th Ave. N, Plymouth, MN 55441
Buhler is hosting an open house to showcase its apprenticeship program to the public. It launched its machine repairer maintenance apprenticeship program in 2013 and graduated its first apprenticeship class in 2016.

Apprenticeship Minnesota is guiding state policy makers on an Apprenticeship Bus Tour of three state-of-the art apprenticeship construction training facilities in the Twin Cities.

Apprenticeship Roundtable: Humboldt High School -- 12:30 to 2 p.m., 30 Baker St. E, St. Paul, MN 55107
This roundtable event will include discussion of registered apprenticeship and its role in helping students succeed in the new economy. It will include best practices and strategies for presenting work-based learning models to students, parents and educators and share resources available to students that will help them earn careers in high growth, high demand occupations.

Apprenticeship Minnesota visits Pipefitter Training Center in St. Paul
Staff will tour the pipefitters training center and get a chance to participate in hands-on demonstrations.

Apprenticeship Minnesota visits CentraCare Health to celebrate new apprenticeship program
Staff will visit CentraCare Health in St. Cloud to celebrate its newly registered apprenticeship program for community health worker and participate in a presentation ceremony.
