Rehabilitation Review Panel
The Rehabilitation Review Panel (RRP) reviews and makes determinations with respect to appeals from orders of the commissioner regarding certification approval of rehabilitation consultants and vendors; advises the department about vocational rehabilitation issues; and assists in the education of the provider community about workers' compensation. The RRP also has the authority to sanction a rehabilitation provider after a hearing at the Office of Administrative Hearings if there has been a violation of the statutes or rules.
The RRP is composed of two members each representing employers, insurers, rehabilitation and medicine (for a total of eight), one member representing chiropractors and four members representing labor. The current RRP chairman is Duane Butorac.

By statute, the RRP is a separate entity from the department. However, the department supplies all required administrative support to the board.
The RRP meets quarterly, at 1 p.m., in the Minnesota Room at the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. Some panel members may participate by telephone. Members of the public may also monitor the meetings by telephone. For more information or to be added to the email list for meeting notices, contact Patricia Rutz at email@example.com or 651-284-5235.
